Hand in hand, we made the mold together. Afterwards, Anas Rifi-Zinati left his hands imprinted, making the gesture of bringing it to the mouth while it was still soft, freshly cast. Then it is fired, and the form remains. When drinking from it, one connects with that same gesture, with the hands of the person who made it. Chillida said, “I have yesterday’s hands; I lack tomorrow’s.”

Mano a mano, hicimos el molde juntos. Después Anas Rifi-Zinati deja sus manos impresas, realizando el gesto de acercársela a la boca, aún blanda, recién colada. Después se cuece y permanece la forma. Al beber uno conecta con el mismo gesto, con las manos de quien la realizó. Chillida decía “tengo las manos de ayer, me faltan las de mañana”.
